Rescue Plan Completed Successfully

In a previous post, we already proposed 2 options on how to deal with the 139k YFV that were still remaining in the YFV Stake Pool v1.

In the current state, no one is currently being locked by hackers at the pool anymore (probably due to the high cost of attacks and the hacking group having given up in the meantime.)

On Thu Sep 03 16:34:35 2020 UTC, we detected about 47k unlocked YFV in the Staking Pool v1 that are available for withdrawal. With the current situation, we hereby declare that the 2 options which were proposed in the post-rescue ANN are no longer necessary.

We urge anyone who has YFV staked in the Staking Pool v1 to exit the pool immediately as we already requested the governance key signers to lock the pool at the start of the next epoch (07-Sep-2020 Monday 13:50 UTC).

People still have time to exit until next Monday; however, the hackers might strike again anytime, so the chance of being locked again is still present.

We are not responsible for any funds locked in the pool if the hacker starts the attack again. The amount of rewards that stakers in the pool can claim until Monday should compensate for any risk that the hacker will strike again and lock your funds.
